The Land Speaks
We take a walk through familiar terrain to seek the unknown.
But what does that look like?
We come across a simple path made of scattered rocks surrounded by the flowing creek.
I have never crossed this before.
One by one, we navigate it alone.
I am last.
I find my mind is busy. My scattered thoughts invade the moment.
I stop halfway and close my eyes.
My ears are intuned to the sounds of the peaceful breeze.
My skin tingles from the cool water that dances off the creek.
I hear the water rolling under the rock below.
I am here.
In the moment.
I am surrounded by darkness. Yet, I see for the first time.
Nature speaks. If we pause to listen.
Today, I let the wind and water speak.
